This bookcase has been handcrafted out of an art crate that was used to transport an interesting painitng by an American contemporary artist George Condo. Ever since the 80's when he emerged in the New York art scene Condo remains one of the most influential, widely exhibited and collected living artists. His work alongside Jean Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring played an important part in international revival of painting. For the last few decades he remains an inspiration for emerging artists around the world. Condo often portrays explicit sexual acts in his paintings and this fact was instrumental in inspiring an X-shaped bookcase.
